Matthieu discovered yoga as a way to heal from running injuries. He began to notice that the practice not only strengthened and helped his body recover faster but also led to a calmer mind. Matthieu started teaching yoga when he was stationed overseas at Kunsan AB in South Korea at the fitness center on base. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force, Matthieu began teaching high school science and coaching track and cross country in Aurora. He became a certified Trauma Sensitive yoga teacher through Buffalo and Sparrow in 2021. Matthieu’s teaching style is accessible to all bodies and creates a safe container to explore the practice of yoga.
