Melanie discovered her passion for yoga during her time as a professional modern dancer in New York City, connecting deeply with yoga’s mind-body healing power. She has been an instructor of yoga since receiving her 200hr RYT in 2015 and Trauma-Informed Teaching Certification in 2019. Her love of bringing movement to all people for its ability to nourish the mind, body, and spirit has led her to offer classes in chair and limited mobility yoga, gentle and restorative yoga, and strength-based flow yoga. In addition to her passion for yoga as an avenue for healing, she is a passionate Public Health Professional, working to integrate trauma-informed practices into both the social and healthcare systems. On her own time, she loves hiking, reading, and spending time with her sweet cat, Boo.
